Case study · AFB
Buffer storage across several levels.
The project
AFB’s transfer car with lifting mast and telescopic fork handles stacking containers used for bulk material. The source describes picking up two containers at a time, storing them in racks and returning them to a conveyor for discharge. The car is floor-guided.
The animation
The film introduces a buffer-storage cycle for stacking containers. The conveyor, transfer car and rack provide the structure of the story, while the mast connects different handling levels.
