Case study · AFB
One lifting device. Different carrier widths.
The project
AFB developed this eccentric lifting device for moving car-body-part carriers in an automotive press shop. A specialised K-telescopic fork adjusts its prongs dynamically to grip carriers from the sides, accommodating different widths within the same handling arrangement.
The animation
The film presents dynamic prong adjustment in an automotive handling application. Different carrier widths give the adjustable mechanism a clear purpose within the transfer task.
- Carrier width range
- 2,000–2,700 mm
- Fork feature
- Dynamic prong adjustment
